No Pay, No Play Policy

Each player is required to pay team expenses to their Team Treasurer for coaches’ travel to tournaments and league games, field and light rental, or any other necessary expenses.  Team expenses will be divided equally among the rostered players and guest players. 

Three exceptions:
 
1. At the time of tryouts, if a member is aware of a future tournament or game conflict they must notify the coach and Team Manager in writing or by e-mail within one week of accepting their place on the team roster.  If the coach and Team Manager have been notified as noted above, the player will not be charged their portion of the tournament (including registration fee) or game expenses.
2. If a tournament is added to the schedule after tryouts and a member has a conflict, they must notify the coach and Team Manager in writing or by e-mail within one week of the announcement of the added tournament. If the coach and Team Manager have been notified as noted above, the player will not be charged their portion of the tournament (including registration fee) expenses.
3. Shadow is supportive of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and our players who choose to participate.  ODP is a legitimate excuse from missing a team event and therefore those players will not have to contribute to team expenses.
 
It is a best practice to have all team expenses are to be paid in full to the Team Treasurer one week prior to the scheduled tournament or game departure.  If a player has an outstanding Team Expense balance one week after their payment was due, contact the Club Bookkeeper to determine if the No Pay, No Play Policy will be activated.  The Club Bookkeeper has the final decision in regards to this policy.
