Year End

Year End Tasks

  • If you are retiring from team management, please return your team books (including all player cards) to the Club Manager prior to tryouts.
  • DO NOT return player cards to any players on your team who ask for them and may not tryout for next season.  The Club will return cards to all players who request them once we are certain there are no outstanding financial balances due to their club or team accounts.
  • Please encourage the players on your team to register for tryouts if they have yet to do so.

Year-End Team Parties and Gifts:  Part of Spokane Sounders Club Policies include information about season-end gift-giving:  “Coaches are happy to be recognized for their time and efforts. Season-end gift-giving for all coaches is optional for every Spokane Sounders player and team. If a team or player desires to give a gift to recognize their coach, the type of gift isn’t what is important; a thoughtful one is. Team gifts should be no more than $100, or $5-7 per player.”

If your team has a head coach, we suggest collecting $5 per player.  If your team also has an assistant coach, then perhaps collecting $7 per player and having their gift be “smaller” in value to the head coach would be best.  As far as an optional team party, please keep it simple.  A picnic, ice cream social, etc. can be fun, inexpensive ways to celebrate the year.  Ask folks to bring an item, rather than write another check.
