“We are excited by the future plans of our Shadow players and rejoice with them in their decisions.  We know our other senior players are soon to follow,”  said Shadow Technical Director Sean Bushéy.  “Finding the right fit academically is the first and most important step in the college selection process.  From there, those that desire a collegiate athletic experience find a fit for soccer.  We are very proud of the work our Shadow players put forth in the classroom and on the soccer field.  The support offered by their parents through their Shadow years is impressive.”

Shadow’s Class of 2011 teams participate in the Division 1 brackets of the Washington Youth Soccer State Premier League and have won many notable tournaments over their seven years of Shadow club soccer.  Most recently, the Boys ’92 U18 Navy team took first place in the Washington State Premier League and won the San Diego Surf Cup.  They will compete in the US Youth Soccer Washington Championship Cup Quarterfinal round this weekend and begin their high school soccer seasons in March.  The team is coached by Matt Leonard.  The Girls ’92 U18 Navy team, coached by Kevin Moon, were Champions at the 2011 Portland Showcase, Super Group Finalists at the 2010 US Club Soccer Regional Tournament, and Semi-finalists at the 2010 Denver Cup.  The team began spring league play two weeks ago.  Several team members were honored with All-Conference and All-State honors for their contributions to Fall, 2010 high school girls soccer.
