Darigold RE:FUEL becomes Spokane SC's Official Recovery Beverage
Spokane Soccer Club Shadow is proud to announce that Darigold RE:FUEL is now the Official Recovery Beverage for the club, providing optimal restoration opportunities for the Spokane Shadow and Spokane Sounders youth teams as well as the men's and women's first teams.
Before this weekend's snow storm came through, the RCL and State Cup action got back into full swing for Spokane Sounders sides in January. Here's a quick round-up of how the teams have done thus far in their competitions, including a visit to the PacNW Winter Classic mid-January.
UPDATE - High School tryout dates set for Feb 15 & 20
Spokane Sounders is excited to announce the 2017-18 Premier Tryout Dates and Times for the Boys groups from 1999 through 2002. They will be held February 15 & 16 20 at the Dwight Merkel Complex. The 2001 and 2002 groups will have sessions on both evenings while the 1999/00 group will be Wednesday only.
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce that Spokane Soccer Club Shadow (Spokane, WA) has joined the league as an expansion team. The club will compete in the West Region’s Northwest Conference.
Dozens of players from the Spokane Shadow / Sounders represented Eastern Washington and Idaho in Phoenix recently at the Region IV ODP Championships. Here is a quick round-up of the event with a few notes on players from the club.
Community Outreach 12.16: Shadow lend a hand to NW Harvest
As part of SSC Shadow's Community Outreach program, members of the Shadow family sorted, boxed, weighed and packed 7,800 pounds of apples at Northwest Harvest, a food bank distributor that supplies 50 hunger relief programs in Eastern Washington and eight high-need schools, delivering 25 million pounds of food - an amount that increases each year.
As the holidays approach, eight Spokane Sounders teams are celebrating top-two finishes in the RCL, including championships for the Boys 98-A, 98-B, 03-B and 04-A teams in their respective leagues. Here's a round-up of the second month of RCL action from November 5 to December 11, covering the completion of the Fall campaigns, highlighted by the U13 Division 1 championship for the 04-A Boys and the kick off of a handful of Winter seasons for the high school girls.
Shadow-Sounders players earn majority of GSL honors :: HS Recap
League honors were recently unveiled by area leagues for the 2016 season and it proved to be a fruitful season for Spokane Shadow / Sounders players in the honors department as they swept the MVP honors and made up 18 of the 22 First and Second Team All-GSL honors. Twenty-one others also received awards, including MVP honors in the NEA and north Idaho’s Inland Empire League, highlighted by Havana Johnson earning the Idaho Player of the Year for 5A schools.
Shadow Alumni Earn College Honors, Reach Postseason
It has been a banner year for Shadow alumni in the college ranks. The list is highlighted by a record-setting and historic campaign at Eastern Washington for Chloe Williams, NWAC East championships for a handful of local players at CC Spokane, another Northwest Conference championship for Whitworth and includes fantastic freshman campaigns for several players such as Ryan Rydeen, JD Hauenstein and NWC Freshman of the Year Jackson Moore.

It is postseason time! While some Division I leagues still have a little bit of the regular season remaining, the lower divisions and the local Big Sky Conference are headed into the postseason with a number of former Shadow players contributing to their programs' success. Let's start with the Big Sky, which is holding the playoff tournament right here in the greater Spokane area at EWU!
