MOSES LAKE - Soccer has been 17-year-old Jessie Green's passion since she scored her first goal at the age of 4. Green, now a junior at Moses Lake High School, plays for one of the most prestigious soccer clubs in Washington, SSC Shadow Elite in Spokane.

SSC Shadow players Matt Beaulaurier and Derek Brock (SSC Shadow B95-A), with their fellow high school teammates compete tonight in 4A Boys State Soccer Quarterfinals in Vancouver as Ferris High School takes on Union at 7 p.m.  Ferris beat Mt. Rainier (4-2) in a first round playoff game to advance.  Good luck Matt and Derek!
 

SSC Shadow made State Cup and eastern Washington youth soccer history this weekend as 6 high school girls teams competed in Semi-final matches at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila on Saturday and won!  All advanced to the Finals on Sunday.  With 4 teams in the Championship Cup (Washington Youth Soccer’s most competitive tournament) and 2 teams in the Challenge Cup (the competitive-level State Cup tournament), no other club in eastern Washington has ever advanced so many teams

Connor Gu, SSC Shadow B95-A and Lewis and Clark High School, was honored as WIAA Athlete of the Week for Week 35.  Gu scored goals in each of the Tigers’ loser-out playoff matches last week.  Lewis and Clark beat Mead, 2-1, Gonzaga Prep, 1-0, and Central Valley, 2-1.  Congratulations, Connor!

SSC Shadow’s 2 teams in this week’s round of State Cup Semi-Finals earned victories Saturday, sending them to the championship games Sunday!  We congratulate SSC Shadow B99-A, coached by Matt Leonard, on their 3-1 Challenge Cup Championship win over Blackhills FC B99 Black and SSC Shadow G00-A, coached by Abbas Faridnia, who ended their season as Championship Cup Finalists

What a weekend for SSC Shadow high school girls teams competing in the Washington Youth Soccer State Cup Tournament!  All six teams competing in Quarter-Final matches were victorious, earning a trip to the Semi-Finals next Saturday, May 11 at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila!  Best of luck to:

Quality and impact are the goals of SSC Shadow’s newly-launched U8/U9 Pre-Regional Club League Academy and the revised format for its U10 Pre-Regional Club League Program for the 2013-2014 season.  Both programs focus on developing players who want to learn from professional, experienced coaches to expand their skills, understanding of the game and love of competition.

With the high school girls Regional Club League spring season wrapped up, SSC Shadow congratulates our teams on their fine seasons!   Finishing in first place in Division 1 of the RCL was SSC Shadow G97-A, coached by Abbas Faridnia!  The team was the lone Eastern Washington club represented in Division 1, competing against 7 other clubs from Bellingham to Tacoma.  Well done girls!

Competing in their final competitive youth soccer league season before high school graduation, SSC Shadow G94-Philp went undefeated (11-0) in Divison 2 RCL play!  Coached by Dan Philp, the team will compete in the Championship Cup tournament.  Congratulations and good luck, SSC Shadow!

Congratulations to SSC Shadow Elite Select B99-Rennaker!  Coached by Jesse Rennaker, the team went undefeated and took 1st place in their indoor league season at It's a Soccer Life.  Well done and way to work together, boys!
